Coordinator: Andrei Murariu

Frequency: Weekly

Children will learn both the basic principles of the game, such as the presentation, movement, value and capture of chess pieces, as well as those that define the stages of a game: opening, middle game and endgame. The game of chess, in addition to its entertainment function, proves to be very effective for children, because it trains concentration, memory, logic, critical and strategic thinking. In addition, chess teaches children that through practice and practice, they become better. Thus, with the deepening of knowledge, the little ones will approach the rules naturally, and the brain will become more comfortable and agile in recognizing positions and strategies. Children will also have the opportunity to participate in interschool competitions, following the basic skills and understanding of game strategies.
Andrei Murariu has been practicing professional chess for 28 years, and during his career he won many awards in national and international competitions, as well as international tournaments. At 19, Andrei became International Grand Master, the highest level that a chess player can achieve.
