Genesis College Theoretical High School – Socio-emotional development
High school is an emotionally intense time for students: they have to make decisions that will influence their adult lives, and they have to meet a different kind of academic rigour. All the while, they manage the challenges of age-specific physical and emotional changes. That is why at Genesis College we support the socio-emotional development of students, which helps them improve key aspects such as self-knowledge, social and relational skills, and the ability to make decisions.
At Genesis College, we support the development of motivation for learning, the establishment of appropriate relationships, both among students and with adults, and appropriate observance of the rules set at group level. Our specialists encourage students to express themselves and help them build lifelong social-emotional skills by using therapeutic role-play and story-telling activities. Depending on individual needs and the situations that arise, our specialists hold workshops and meetings with the children, their parents and teachers.

Genesis College Theoretical High School – Stop bullying
Bullying is a problem faced by students all over the world and it can leave deep emotional scars on its victims. At the Genesis College Theoretical High School, we run an anti-bullying programme in which students practice different roles and situations, and at the level of each class there are periodic prevention activities, following regular meetings with the Genesis College psychologists.

At Genesis College, students have the opportunity to develop their skills through practical activities, and that is why we adapt the teaching approach to the individual characteristics. We promote inclusive education, taking into account the fact that the educational needs of students are different and particular, with a unique degree of adaptation for each in the learning process. Based on recommendations from counsellors and psychologists, teachers use different approaches, tailored to each student.
Genesis College Theoretical High School – Career counselling
Our specialists assess the aptitudes, interests, skills and competencies of each student, so that they find a balance between what they want to do, what they can do and what they will do in their professional life. Also, in order to be aware of the demands of the labor market and to get in touch with the atmosphere in different companies, Genesis College organizes an Internship program for high school students. In this context, students can apply the information acquired in class, during an internship carried out within important companies in Romania.
Also, students have the opportunity to participate in professional orientation events, carried out by Genesis College Theoretical High School, which has entered into partnerships with consulting organizations in the field of university studies in Europe and America.

The high school period is full of emotions and challenges, therefore the role of the specialists is to support the students in their academic, social and emotional development. Through the activities carried out, we encourage them to be aware of their emotions, to express them, to interact harmoniously with those around them, and we guide them in finding the optimal solutions for solving various social problems.
