Genesis College Primary School was inaugurated in 2002 and is accredited according to all national requirements and criteria. The institution is also authorized for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP). The PYP program offers a cross-disciplinary, knowledge-based curriculum that helps develop students’ conceptual understanding.
The entire Genesis College team is dedicated to preparing students for a globalized and competitive world. Combining elements from the Romanian curriculum with those from the international PYP program gives our students a complex perspective on the world and develops skills such as confidence, independence and awareness of events around them. Moreover, our approach is not only to teach knowledge, but also to learn, through activities and practical experiences, life skills such as creativity, critical thinking or social skills.

Genesis College primary school creates an integrated framework for learning and development, by combining the Romanian curriculum with elements from the international curriculum. At Genesis College, students at primary levels (preparatory to grade 4) guided by a dedicated team follow a careful educational path that combines the national curriculum with the international Primary Years Program (PYP) – an approach that prepares students to respond to the challenges and opportunities of the modern, ever-changing world.
The Romanian curriculum is clearly structured and well-defined, designed to allow students to follow a coherent and continuous educational trajectory, which will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the learning objectives.
The Primary Years Program (PYP) curriculum gives students control over their own learning and encourages them to apply knowledge in a trans-disciplinary manner outside the classroom, in their everyday life, thus building on their knowledge. Individual and collective action is an integral part of the PYP learning process and helps students appreciate the advantages of working as a team towards a common goal. At the same time, they develop a balanced perspective from a physical, intellectual and emotional point of view, thus creating a context in which students can achieve their maximum potential.

Currently, Genesis College Primary School is home to more than 170 students, who have a modern infrastructure and access to the most advanced technologies. The classrooms have ergonomic furniture and are equipped with the latest generation of audio-video equipment, and the IT and foreign language laboratories are specially designed to support the acquisition of specific knowledge and skills. Thus, students carry out their activity in a safe context, which stimulates them and ensures their permanent development.
