Genesis Kipinä - Kindergarten

With 23 years of experience, in which we combined a passion for education with children care,
we are today the only educational institution in Bucharest that adds elements and
methods of Finnish education to the national curriculum, through the international Kipinä program.

Genesis’ mission is to create a community with high values and purposes based on responsibility, compassion, and morality. The first years are essential, so they continue to provide preschool children with the latest and most effective teaching methods. In 2021, inspired by Finnish education methods and the results achieved by students in this system, they became part of the reputable international network Kipinä Kids. Kipinä proposes an educational model that uses Finnish pedagogy, based on guided learning, aiming to develop a series of skills such as social, communication, critical thinking, or research and organization skills. The Kipinä program is based on learning through play and includes six directions for development and innovation, with a focus on emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of each child. It offers a learning framework that stimulates children’s imagination and creativity and is coordinated by specialized and certified teachers from the Häme University of Applied Science, which trains teachers in Finland. Through interactive games, children gain self-confidence and develop their social, cognitive, and physical skills, which serve as a foundation for their future development.

Play

Play is an important part of any child's daily routine. Genesis Kipinä kindergarten provides a context in which children are stimulated and encouraged to explore, discover and learn through play.

Stimulating environment and support

Children participate in various activities in an environment that encourages them to develop social and emotional skills. Educators are trained to guide them through, and provide the necessary support so that kids are able to discover, through play, new things about the world around them.

Development

Our approach is a truly holistic one, focusing on the physical, emotional, cognitive and social development of each child. The curriculum elements addressed involve activities that stimulate collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity skills.

Play – the main concern of the little ones, remains at the center of the activities we propose in the kindergarten program. What we added to the Genesis philosophy is the Finnish approach: the Kipinä program enriches the national curriculum with elements that emphasize the development of XXI century skills.
The methods applied in kindergarten involve, among others, the Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR) model, whereby Kipinä educators, certified by training courses at HAMK Häme University of Applied Sciences, Finland, continuously interact and guide children, helping them overcome obstacles and challenges and supporting them to learn while playing.

Genesis Kipinä Kindergarten

The combination of the Romanian curriculum with the elements of Finnish pedagogy through the Kipinä program are the guarantee that all children have the chance to grow and develop at their own pace, while being prepared to integrate into any educational system after kindergarten. Find out more about kindergarten admission.

The activities that children have available during the regular program, whether they take place on the kindergarten campus, indoors or outdoors, are complemented by outings, visits, periodic trips or camps.
